MANAGING YOUR TIME EFFECTIVELY
Basically, time is perceived as
an instance of something happening or being done; an occasion. In a day every
human irrespective of your status or skin colour has 24 hours to execute his or her
tasks/activities. Creating a disciplined life, producing a high quality work,
reducing stress, being more successful, making better decisions etc are some of
the benefits attached with managing your time effectively. In making good use
of your time never procrastinate. Procrastination comes up when you decide to carry
out urgent tasks at a later time sometimes to the last minute before the
deadline. At all times you must be ready to perform your daily activities and
pay maximum attention to the most important activities and do not wait till the
deadline draws near before you start to undertake the activity.
Also, organize/plan your day.
After your morning prayers, plan your daily activities by prioritizing your
daily activates. You can prepare a scale of preference for the activates. Say
NO to the things that consume time or are unimportant. Again, be directed by a
standard or principle of behaviour. This should be your judgement of what is
important in life. This guides you to set sound priorities and make good use of
your time. Values such as love and spiritual needs can be considered. Lastly,
always balance work and recreation. All work and no play....... . Do not over stress yourself. Never deprive
yourself rest. Depriving yourself sleep leads to errors and slows
learning.
